Cultivating community IRL always came really natural to me. I guess you could say I never had to try to hard to sell out classes, rather, I always just showed up as myself and focused on teaching bad a** classes that made people feel reallyyyy fkn good. (call it a silent brag but, I think it’s important to recognize your strengths and hype yourself up. I am good at what I do because I really love it and I put everything I have got into it!)
Cultivating community in the virtual world… OOOOFFF! I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared sh*tless when the pandemic started. Fear took over my body for a good 48 hours but then I got over myself. I knew that I was put on this planet to teach and serve, so even if I had 2 people showing up my IG lives, I couldn’t not share my gifts when people needed it the most.
What started as IG lives daily during the pandemic, turned into a loyal community of women & men who couldn’t get enough of Sweat Sessions and the way the workout were making them feel during a reallyyyyy tough moment in time. After a few months I launched my first challenge and to this day, that challenge will go down in history as what really CULTIVATED the SBC. It in a way, set the tone for this community I had created. We weren’t just moving together; we were learning through virtual workshops held by leaders in the fitness space, we were finding our *new normal* and routines together and even scheduled *COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHTS* where we would hang out virtually on saturday mornings, sharing stories & getting to know each other. At the time, I had no idea what I was doing. I was really just leaning into the connection and support that we ALLLLL were feeling from this new community of strangers that felt like soul sisters. & that, is how the SBC was born.
While living in California, teaching (fitness) became a passion. By waking up every day and moving my body, I came out of a 10 year funk. I found my purpose and actually felt passionate about what I was doing for the first time in forever. I knew that if I was feeling this euphoria from teaching these classes, I could channel that energy, feeling and share it with the people taking my classes. I knew I could provide them with the tools to become more confident and empowered.
Fast forward to driving down the 405 in L.A., I was listening to music, sitting in traffic, thinking about how fun it would be to create a beat-driven, high energy, FUN fitness concept where we dance our asses off, sweat, and move in a way that is challenging, but at the same time you’re having too much fun to remember you’re working out!
From there, I just went for it. I started ‘The Aubre Winters Method’ in 2018 and started partnering with local hotels and brands to teach pop-up classes. In 2019, Sweat Sessions was born. As more opportunities came my way, I let go of my fear, doubt, and the opinions of others and said F*CK IT! I found what lights me up so I’m going to take this leap of faith and go for it!
When the pandemic started, I felt like it was a sign from the universe saying “This is your time, bish!” and I started doing live workouts everyday on IG to help with the isolation feelings in lockdown. I really got to see firsthand how my workouts impacted people as they became a light during a dark time. These workouts gave people energy and the community we built was making people feel less alone. *I have the chills thinking about this time* By giving 100% of my energy–of me, I saw that in return!
In 2020, I grew 50,000 followers and dove headfirst into entrepreneurship. I haven’t looked back since. One of the things I love the most about Sweat Sessions is the community that has evolved over the last few years! (Where my Sweat Bishes at!?) The men and women who show up to my workouts bring their vulnerability, energy and compassion; it’s f*cking unique. They know that Sweat Sessions is a safe space where they can be their most authentic, unique self. The SBC isn’t afraid to dig deep within themselves both physically and mentally.
We bring high energy, connection, and inclusivity to each session and we gain confidence, self love, and empowerment. Because of the SBC, Sweat Sessions is more than just a workout. It’s a safe, fun, high energy environment where men and women can come to feel inspired, connected, and F*CKING AMAZING.
The SBC is so motivating. It keeps me going. Knowing that I can make an impact through teaching and serving others is the best feeling! I love that I have been able to create a brand that allows me to fully show up as myself. It is so special, and I don’t take the power of this community for granted.
At the end of the day, this company and community is a reflection of me. I want every single person who shows up to one of my classes or events to feel surrounded by good energy and like-minded people. I want them to experience all of what this community has to offer: fully supported in every step of their journey and a safe place to be their truest self.
The high energy and positivity that I bring to the SBC is key to instilling that same light in others. If I have doubts, I just think to myself that I’ve made it to right here, right now, this moment. I got here. I can get to the next moment, too. Everything will all work out. Sharing the ups, the downs and everything in between is to remind my community that sometimes we have to go through the hard stuff to make it to the sweet side of life; there is truly power in vulnerability. If sharing my life authentically helps others find the courage within to take more risks and honor the journey, then heck, I am an opennnn book baby!
If you haven’t had the chance to join us yet, I invite you to move with me and try my classes! If you download the Sweat Sessions by Aubre Winters app you’ll get a 7 days free trial. All I ask is that you show up when it feels right, bring a positive attitude and give it your all (if you show up with a negative attitude, that’s ok. Movement will make you feel better in no time. Sometimes we have to work through the bull sh*t to feel the good sh*t) Time to step out of your comfort zone and into your spotlight.

I discovered your unique and contagious energy during the pandemic while I was out of work and stuck at home alone for three months. Your workouts and positivity gave me something to look forward to everyday and really kept me from spiraling into a negative place. I have continued working out with the SBC ever since and it is so inspiring to see how this community continues to grow! #sweatybish4life
